Beaulne Museum

The Beaulne Museum resides within the Arthur-Osmore-Norton Mansion built in 1912 by Arthur O. Norton who made his fortune in manufacturing a jack used by the railroad company. Specialized, among others, in period costumes and textiles, the Beaulne Museum is currently presenting the temporary exhibition “In the Spotlight, the Little Black Dress”.

During Autumn, the Beaulne Museum will present two new exhibits, namely “Verre nature” by glass artist Sylvie Savoie and “Archéologie du sensible” by Isabelle Anguita, interdisciplinary artist. Usual events are not left out, because the activity “A Castle and its Tales” will be offered on the occasion of Halloween and furthermore, as a prelude to the end of year celebrations, the “Christmas Tea” will make its big comeback!

Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre

The Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre, a stately Georgian-style home built in 1862, feels particularly cozy and colourful during the fall season with its beautiful gardens and Red Barn. At this time of year, our museum interpreters, in period costume, offer guided tours of the house every weekend (French and English).

Happening this fall:
In the Uplands’ art gallery, paintings by artist Denis Palmer and ceramics by Réjean Côtes are on display until October 30th. On the second floor of Uplands, the Lennoxville-Ascot Historical and Museum Society presents the historical exhibit “Traditional Crafts of the Townships”. Large panels also enliven the wooded area of Uplands and present the tradition of English tea in the Eastern Townships. From November 6th to December 18th, find the perfect gift for the holidays during the “Bonheur d’Uplands” art exhibit.
